Great pub with a good atmosphere, vibe and especially soundtrack! many choices of cakes we had steak and ale and venison and speck were both good with delicious pastries, although steak and ale was the favorite. very friendly service. heavy eating, but solid:

This is a great local alcohol, especially in summer when people are out. do not listen to the one bad review about not dog friendly. it is the complete opposite of it and I can only think that it was the dog or the owner who was unfriendly. my dog is always shown affection of debbie and the personal, and even if I take it around the block for a walk, he always wants to go into the door to be pampered. the cakes are also quite decent.

Charming pub tucked in a side street, lots of outdoor seating, good beer selection, tasty pies and friendly staff. Need a place like this in every neighbourhood.
