It’s a very nice and interesting cafe with a lot of places to discover during your short visit for food.If you are looking for nice outdoor tables or indoor or even private place in a room, this is the place.Staff are very nice, kind and friendly. The impression you get from the ambience and staff is totally positive, encouraging you to think about your next visit. The cafe is run by volunteers to help people on the edge. That’s why it’s called “cafe edge”. It’s extremely nice and beautiful. We had two veggie breakfasts, came with to eggs, mushrooms, a slice of toast, tomatoes, avo, spinach and grilled capsicum. They serve Vivo coffee which i usually like. This time I presume their lactose free milk was different from what I usually have in my coffee, which made my cappuccino taste not so good. But, it was made professionally and the texture was nice and just right.
Re-visited this café last Wednesday morning. It was early 7:00 am so I was the only customer who enjoyed the coffee in the dining area. Service is consistently good and I noticed that this café did win some award of local business. The first impression came to my mind was that the owner must be a loyal fan of the famous artist – Audrey Hepburn. There are photos of Audrey Hepburn everywhere and the whole dining area is retrospectively black white in color. In fact, it is not bad to have such a theme to recall my memory on those films at Hollywood’s Golden Age; however, it does not help to change my impression of the VIVO coffee here! It is too weak………Having said that the friendly attitude and the passion from the barista deserve additional mark for this review : <br/ <br/ May , 31, 2017 Rating 3/5<br/ <br/ Drove past this café and the signage of VIVO recalled my recent reading of Bean-hunter's reviews about the original roaster at Morningside so gave it a go. I remember the down-side of the reviews was mainly on the personal attitude of some staff which made the negative impact and the bean taste was generally good. However, my experience at Café Edge was vice versa; service was good but the coffee...??
Wonderful cafe! I adore the food and coffee. The focus is on community, but it's also a fantastic place to relax and hang out. I really liked the atmosphere and live band. The outdoor area was busy and everyone appeared to be having a great time.
I believe this cafe deserves better reviews! It is one of my favorite spots with plenty of positive points. Firstly, the food and coffee are excellent. It's worth noting that the service might be slow at times due to inexperienced staff, but it's because the cafe prioritizes its community involvement and support for underprivileged children. The cafe is charming and has a spacious outdoor area with unique seating and artwork. It caters to all types of visitors- whether you're with a group, looking for a quiet spot to work with wifi, or need a meeting space upstairs, which I believe is available for non-profit organizations and possibly small businesses as well.
