Belle Pastry French Bakery - Bellevue

I would strongly advise against trying their latte! It tastes more like milk than coffee, leaving much to be desired in terms of flavor. I thought it might have been a fluke, but I've now ordered it three times and each time was just as disappointing. There was no milk foam, no lovely design, and absolutely no coffee flavor. Can you believe this is the latte they served, and I snapped the picture just a minute after receiving it? When I asked them to remake it, they insisted, "This IS milk!" Well, I guess I've learned something new today.

My favorite local café has drinks that are just okay, but their pastries are excellent! My top choices are definitely the Pain au Chocolat and the Spinach and Feta Danish. When it comes to cake, I always gravitate towards anything chocolate, although the quality can be inconsistent at times. I prefer to arrive early to snag fresh slices because I've noticed that the later it gets, the drier some of the cakes can become. I've experienced this with some pre-ordered cakes, so I hope they address this issue soon. **Pros:** - You can usually find seating without much trouble. - The pastries and cakes can be fantastic, especially in the morning when they’re freshly made. After noon, however, the quality can be hit or miss. - The café has a nice ambiance, with a pleasant mix of hustle and bustle, conversations, and students studying. **Cons:** - The drinks are decent but not the best, in my opinion. - There can be long lines and wait times. - When asking for items to be warmed up or toasted, some can burn, especially the quiches and croissants, so just a heads-up. - Parking is challenging, as is the case for most places in Bellevue!

I frequently order pastries and cakes for birthdays, and each time, it's a hit. Whether I order online or visit the store, my requests are always met with care. The mini tarts and chocolate éclairs are fantastic, and the Napoleon cake is particularly impressive! You can take my word for it—I'm French! I wholeheartedly recommend this bakery!

I went to meet a friend for coffee this morning and it's been years since I e been here. Why is that? I forgot how incredible their buttery, almondy, fluffy delicious almond croissant is! There were so many pastries to choose from. Including fancy cookies and simple ones like peanut butter and oatmeal cookies. I will be dreaming about this place tonight and it's not going to be years for my next visit. Don't be surprised to see me there tomorrow!

Good location, great pastries, coffee some days are better than others....I guess it depends on who makes it. My favorite pastries are Royal, Trio of mousse, LE Croqueline, Shampagne mousse
