L&l Hawaiian Barbecue - Burien

I had been craving Hawaiian BBQ and L&L certainly hit the spot!! Their portions are huge and the prices are extremely reasonable. I loved my chicken Katsu!

Usually come in here to pick up food. There's always a nice young man taking orders and when not, he's cleaning and has great customer service. The cooks are also friendly and great to see everytime. Only reason I marked down 2 stars was this horrible experience I had with this female worker a couple weeks back. I came in ordered my food while I was waiting I got up to order something I forgot. First order came out and I was waiting over 30 min. For my second order. I have worked customer service before and didn't want to be rude or hurry her but I did stare at the cook. He told her an order had been waiting for a while and that it might be mine. She said no, she got her food. Then I got up and told her I was still waiting for something and she asked for my receipt which she didn't give me. Luckily I had paid with Venmo so I showed her my receipt on my phone. She tells them to make it again before asking me if I still want it, I'm on my 45min. work break s I tell her I would just like a refund. She then tells me I should of told her that because now Theyr making it again. Well she didn't give me a chance she just starts yelling everytime and talking over me and the cook. she starts yelling at me that I should of said something to her. I told her I didn't want to be rude and am not a cook so don't know how long it takes to make certain foods. but how am I going to tell u something u should already know? Isn't that ur job? It was 12pm and she said she had a long bad day and started crying. At this point the cook and me were just staring at each other there were other people eating and it made it supper uncomfortable. Lady it's been 2 hours into your shift. Get it together. Don't take it out on customers or let it affect your ability to do your job. She was extremely disrespectful going back and forth with me. Infront of co-workers and other customers. She made a whole scene. It sucks to go by and peek if she's working that day or not so I know weather to step in or not.

We love this place! I'm surprised they don't know me by name yet. Food is excellent A+, always hot, crunchy, fresh and delicious. I order it to go, so I never sat inside to eat, but it's welcoming, the people who work there are always friendly, always with a smile. They haven't messed up a order, the food is never bad, My Daughter always gets the Spam Musubi, never had a complaint about it and she can complain. I get the Chicken Katsu Salad, it is amazing, greens are crunchy, and they stack the Katsu, that I'll have some left over for later or a light lunch. Spare Ribs is a favorite here too. I mean it's just amazing.

L and L is the best stateside Hawaiian BBQ place. Always delicious and the best Mac salad in the country.

So someone who visits Seattle area almost yearly recommended this place. I think most of the items are authentic Hawaiian Japanese cuisine? I ordered the Chicken Katsu which was nice and crispy. Portions were quite generous.
