Both drinks were great! The waitress was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable! Then for food we ordered the seasonal salad, the chorizo quesadilla, and house falafel. Seasonal salad with fresh crisp and delicious. The true reason so quesadilla was delicious some really great chorizo. Lastly we had the house waffle which was a little bit different than what I've had before, but the accompanying sauce was delicious. I wish I could give this restaurant five stars, but to be completely honest I was disappointed with how small the portions were. Other than the small portions it was a wonderful experience!
I'm more of a dive bar guy than a tapas and cocktails guy, but I've met friends here before and it was pleasant. It felt like we were hanging out in someone's parlor or living room; twas a very comfortable environment for conversation. It's also very unremarkable from the outside and easy to miss. I can definitely recommend it as a place to meet friends or a date, but there are other bars within a few blocks of here that I recommend more.
A place you've seen advertised or driven by but never stopped in before. Try it!! I was deeply impressed with a couple things. 1. Gluten Free/Dairy Free/Vegetarian friendly GOURMET dishes and small plates. 2. Excellent interior decor- modern industrial meets PNW. 3. Great deals on their happy hour menu. Besides those, I definitely liked that parking on this area of downtown is a weeeee bit easier than the main drag. Their bartenders were great, and have some tasty house drinks both to craft and on tap. I had some red wine- they rotate- and a great salad. Both were delicious. Quirky little chalk board fun to be found, and a great clean bathroom. Would love a bit more seating because it gets full quick, but will return, nonetheless! Verdict? Is temple bar full? Do I want comfy seating and a bit quieter atmosphere? Maybe watch a game on TV without going to a sports bar? Going here!
The Real McCoy was recommended to me by one of this town's savvy bartenders. I liked it very much. Brendan and Shannon were welcoming and friendly. The Bourbon Chicken Liver Paté was lovely. Loved the Black Manhattan!
Was my first trip to Bellingham Washington and I had the opportunity of sampling this establishment. It's not very big but it's definitely very cozy. The people were amazingly friendly well versed and knowledgeable. They have a very nice liquor selection and some amazing mixed cocktails I'm a purist I had the wanderer on tap a dry cider and some pappy Vanwinkle bourbon. The food was probably the best part of my experience I had the clams with the smoke fennel could not speak more highly of this particular appetizer it was simply amazing taste texture portion, you name it first class! I also had a chance to try their grilled cheese and tomato soup such an amazing combination and as American as apple pie if you're looking for something rewarding but on the lighter side this is definitely a great choice. Lastly I got to taste their crispy salmon.. all I can say is that it was super fresh and I would without a doubt order it again. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice quiet enjoyable evening out and I believe a fair price.
