Many thanks for putting a smile on our faces! here is a secret for the short waiting period. make sure they are there when they call their names!
We have been to this place a couple of times and the first time we came to Birch Door I said that it might be the best breakfast I’ve had in Bellingham. We came again this morning and I think it solidified that. This really IS the best breakfast place. The ambiance, the food, the coffee, and especially the service is impeccable. Bianca was out latest server and she was absolutely wonderful and gave great recommendations. The standouts here, and what my boyfriend and I come for, are the Viennese coffees and sides of blueberry pancakes. They truly are the best. All the omelettes are great though, and I highly recommend the Mexican omelette or the birch door breakfast. You cannot miss here though.
Went on a Sunday, the place is near the exit. They had a waiting list, their system was pretty efficient. Got seated within 10 minutes for how busy they were. Our server was very friendly, from the hosts to the people refiling your coffee. For people who loves coffee, do reco this place quite on point for that service. I got hot tea, the tea was made by a local tea store just down the street; was great to know they also support their fellow small business. Husband got biscuits and gravy, while I got their French toast. Great portions and would say timely service for how much people they serve during the weekend.
Our first stop on our day trip from Vancouver to Bellingham. Lovely ambiance and service. The wait time was over 40min at 9am on a Saturday, the place was super busy but tables were assigned as they were ready. The food portion size is so huge and the food was just delicious. There was free parking at the back which was full by 8:30am. Definitely would recommend this place and going back when in the area.
Drove all the way from Seattle to try brunch at this place and we were certainly not disappointed. We had to wait for about an hour to get a table but it was worth it. The food was delicious and quantity was quite large. If you get the omelette, you will also get 3 pancakes along with it (but we didn’t mind at all). The Mimosas were great too and they had a bunch of different flavours. I always love it when restaurants serve mimosas with freshly squeezed orange juice makes a huge difference.
