Contribuisci feedbackThis is AMAZING!! I've been here since the '70s since I was a boy/young boy in the '90s. I would play outside while my Step-Dad Troy would work his meal in the kitchen for Carmen (RIP)! Amazing place, amazing people, delicious, affordable food!! Please check it, support it, help to keep the legacy alive through these trial times!
Go to review: The place does not have the best appearance from outside, but the interior is welcoming and spacious. They have some outdoor seating and a complete interior. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We have the mix plate, with all things for $7.50 total. You have the typical attachments (Jalapenos, spicy salsa, onion limes etc.) there is to pack for going as well as take a station with a variety of chips as you want. Just remember that they stay outdoors so they can be stale. Not a big deal, but it's nice they're offering it anyway. The tostada was delicious, as well as the enchilada, beans and tamale. The Taco was simple and the rice was on the Bland side. Overall, I cannot complain because it is a great value. very worth the price and the owner is very friendly, so go support and give them an attempt!
Great place to bring the family. The owner/Kook was really friendly and wondering if we wanted to play the chest with him. The menu is very cost-effective. I paid less than $40 for 5 people including drinks. Chips themselves serve and include salsa, beans, cheese and many other toppings. I understand this place has been in business since the 70s. The food was made by scratches and was very delicious.
Very cozy local family oriented. Eating was delicious must stop eating there. You have your own chips and salsa with nacho cheese and pinto beans. The salsa are on the side and you pour your own drink. The price is very affordable we have 5 plates plus drinks it was $36. They have a large table to eat and 4 additional seats. For the desert you can get a free leche quemado candy. The cook will give you the history of this place.
Carmen's is just a charming, quaint wonderful little place on the side of the road. The owner is warm and friendly and so hospitable! He makes his own Salsa both green and red, and I could have made a meal on that alone! The place was his Mother's and he keeps it open in her memory. He also uses a lot of her recipes. As someone else said there is seating inside and in a covered screened in area. I got the enchiladas with rice and beans. I loved the rice, cooked perfectly and just enough tomatoes and spices to make it very good. My dinner was wonderful. I am so glad that I stopped! And super affordable!
