I’m usually not a fan of mushrooms, but the marinade combined with feta, avocado, and their special sauce nearly converted me to vegetarianism! On the second day for lunch, I built my own burger, and while it was hearty and satisfying, I really enjoyed the taste of her Southwest sauce, freshly cut grilled jalapeños, and sweet grilled onions. To keep it a bit healthier, I opted for their mixed greens, which were perfectly seasoned with the house dressing. Honestly, this café could turn me into a part-time vegetarian, as they make fresh ingredients incredibly delicious. That evening, I tried the Sweet Sour Chicken Burger, and it did not disappoint. That was three hits in a row for me! On my last day, I decided to mix things up with the Bacon Green Onion Omelet, accompanied by home fries. These potatoes were some of the best I’ve ever had—crispy, flavorful, and the omelet was beautifully prepared with the perfect combination of cheese, bacon, and green onions. Since this was likely my only visit to this café (I live in Washington, which is quite a distance, though it might be worth the trip), I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger with special sauce to take home. Once again, I was not disappointed. This burger was a classic—simple but bursting with flavor. If you're in search of a fantastic burger in Benicia or the San Francisco Bay Area, I highly recommend Capitol Café!
