Fondue Fred - Berkeley

Dear fondue Fred for 30 years. Never mind! Thanks for the great food and the memories!

We lived 40 years ago in Berkeley and that was our place on our budget. It was a great place to remind us of some wonderful memories of our then new relationship.

Unfortunately it goes away as so many other iconic places in the bay area.

My family has been going for years, so when I heard they close, I thought I'd think again about the old times. It had a nostalgic taste, not much has changed. The fondue is very good and I had a good time.

We were so excited to try something different what a complete disappointment! It's over priced and completely LAME! Don't waste your time. The staff was pleasant but that's all the positive I can do. If it wasn't for the free 1/2 carafe of wine from the table next to us, we would have left after the salad!
