Starry Plough Pub - Berkeley

I had a great time performing at the Poetry Slam. It was an awesome experience!

My husband and I visited a pub in Berkeley about a month ago and we are still missing it. Located near the Ashby line, it is a popular spot among locals. The staff was amazing and we quickly felt like part of the community, especially when my husband was invited to play darts with some regulars. Cameron, the bartender, is fantastic and I suggest asking him about the pub's history. I highly recommend checking this place out.

This might just be my top pick for a bar anywhere. With a buzzing art scene, welcoming bartenders, and a true Irish atmosphere that celebrates the finest aspects of the culture, this place is a winner. Despite a temporary closure during COVID, they have made a strong comeback. Stop by any night of the week as there is likely to be an event going on.

One of my favorite places. Sunday night Irish folk music, cider, hot bowl of whatever soup they making, I'm happy.

Great vibes! Good live music, friendly staff, beautiful venue, pro Palestinian, good crowd, hearty food, what more can you ask for?
