I ordered half a hay pile and had to take another box for it, my husband ordered the heavy and hash brown with toast. All very large portions, but more important, very, very good! Service was also good. Would definitely go back. The best breakfast we found in the area. We ordered a homemade cinnamon roll to go, it looks great! Besides us, it was definitely all locals there for breakfast, so clear, that is the place.
We were a little concerned it was going to be a brunch place since it closed at 2, but since our Amish man zoo guide recommended it we tried it. I liked my noodles mashed potatoes. The family also loved their burgers, onion rings and other sandwiches!! However, if you are looking for a selection of traditional Amish dishes this might not be the best place for you. If you want some fantastic tasting food, you won’t go wrong. They have an awesome selection of desserts, too!!
We've driven by and there is always a line out the door. We had to see what was happening inside. We waited about 10-15 minutes to be seated. Our server was tremendous, she was a service pro. She got our drinks, then took our orders. I had the BW special. It was very good. Eggs were perfect, home fries with sausage gravy were great. I had a cinnamon roll which was warm and tasty. The restaurant itself was old looking, but was very clean. The staff was quick to clean the tables after someone departed. This runs like a great operation.
Service is fantastic! The house bread is warm and delicious! It is good old-fashioned comfort food. This is not my personal favorite, but it is well done there. There was a line out of the door, but we just waited about 15 minutes for two seats on the switch.
GREAT PLACE! The food was excellent. Our waitress was nice, but disappeared; leaving us to help someone else to flag.
