Not your usual, run if the mill Turkish take away. Good food and friendly service. Sit in or take away. Excellent value for money.

The best thing about having a friend living in a place I travel to is that they know about places like this. I don't think I would have found it otherwise and if I had chanced upon it I might just have passed on by. It looks like a takeaway place (and to be fair they offer takeaway) but it is a bona fide restaurant with tables inside and out front. The food is superb value and really good too: the Gilgamesch Plate is particularly recommended but there is a really wide variety of vegetarian and meat dishes and you can even have most of them as a plate or as a kebab.

Went with my girlfriend and we enjoyed great food in large quantities served by very friendly staff for low price. The Gilgamesch plate is the most expensive plate on the menu (8€) and will get you a bit of everything. Enough for 2 people if you are not very hungry.
