Kanaan - Berlin

Fantastic lunch spot with the best hummus I have ever had! Delicious food, great service and lovely neighborhood. One of the first things I will want to do when I return to Berlin. Thanks!

Like the previous reviewer said, the mains are just… meh. That’s the ONLY reason for the four versus five stars. My table had the pasta and the onion as the main and as for the former, please Kanaan just leave that to the Italians. It...was bland and tasteless, compared to the OMG AMAZINGness of the starters. Also after the starter feast, one is just too full anyway to make a dent in the pasta. My friend’s husband said the onion was also fine but not fabulous. But that starter feast…. Oh my. What a wonderful mouth flavour extravaganza. Sour and salty and smoky and everything plus. I haven’t had hummus this good since Israel. The aubergine dip is to die for. The rosé is quite nice and the cheesecake rich and tasty. Kanaan, just stick to your starters and drop your mains. You’ll still get the crowds, trust me!

We spent for people, no wine only water. Food is okish but in the end you need many starters and the main course is another glorified starter. Food quality was decent but nothing special. Reasonable price was not

We asked for a table and offered to wait. They made clear that they don’t want that we wait. A couple minutes later they offered another couple that clearly didn’t reserve a table.

Food here was fantastic delicious mezze style starter followed by lovely mains. Would suggest sharing mains. Staff very attentive and nice.
