Tramway - Bern

Ok food, really cheap, really stressed staff. The offer only one vegetarian meal (Käseschnitte, bread with melted cheese) but I could easily order a Rösti without the meat. They even gave me a cheaper price because it was without meat. This was really refreshing as most other restaurants don’t give a discount for ordering without meat. The Rösti was more cheese than Rösti (maybe some people prefer this but I didn’t) and was really big. My colleagues Schnitzel and Cordon Bleu were also really big. The price is really great. I would recommend eating there if you don’t want to spend a lot of money and have enough to eat. Also if you search for a gutbürgerliche Küche . The downside was the waiting time. We waited a long time and tables that ordered after us got their food first. The only waitress was stressed the whole time and ordering something took a long time. I wouldn’t go in there again. It wasn’t that bad but just not great.

We went to Tramway again for a farewell visit before it closes at its current location. The portions are large as usual, but the staff was visibly overwhelmed. The waiting times were extremely long. I'm not sure we'll continue to visit it at the new location. Apart from the large portions, the taste of the food is not so outstanding that it will be worth traveling further

Always impressive, the tasty but extremely large portions. An experience for hungry guests. The great service makes you want to come back, bravo.

Very nice, inexpensive restaurant with very generous portions.

An excellent place to eat, the atmosphere and food is very Swiss. The waitresses are very friendly, the food tastes very good and the portions are huge.
