Only criticism would be that there are not an abundance of options, we felt there were multiple items on the menu that could be made vegan friendly easily by just changing a couple things. Food we had was delicious! We had the French fries, banh mi with tofu no aioli, and the hot noodz with tofu no egg
The staff were super great. Very friendly and gave me tips on which food would taste great veganized. They also have their menu clearly labeled, but it is a small menu to begin with. Unique spot and surprising for Bethel. I had the harvest bowl with tahini and tofu. Great taste though the tofu could be more seasoned.
So far we’ve had 3 fabulous meals from Le Mu. The Hot Noodz are always a hit. Check the specials because one super hot Saturday they had a shredded salad (with shiitake for the vegan option that really hit the spot! They are fast, yummy, and the portions are big. Be sure to check “no egg” (and if you’re like me “no cilantro” . I really enjoyed the tofu banh mi with vegan aioli, too.
The staff were fantastic. They were very friendly and gave me recommendations on which dishes could be made vegan. The menu was clearly marked, but it was quite limited. This restaurant is a unique and unexpected find in Bethel. I tried the Harvested Bowl with tahini and tofu, which had a great taste, although the tofu could have been more flavorful.
We have had three amazing meals at Le Mu so far. The hot noodles are always a favorite. Make sure to try the specials, like the shredded salad with shiitake for a vegan option, which really impressed us on a particularly hot Saturday. The service is quick, the food is delicious, and the portions are generous.
