Went here three times while staying nearby. Great pub food, generous portions and sensible prices. Landlord is very welcoming and all the serving staff are pleasant and efficient. Highly recommended.

Went for lunch and a beer today. I had a cheese and ham panini with slaw and salad on the side. My husband had a beef sandwich with slaw and salad on the side.We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the ingredients. We were also very happy that the salad was crisp,fresh and not swimming in oily dressing as is so often the case. Big thumbs up from us. P.S the beer was lovely too. Service: 5

Lovely venue. Very olde world. Looks very tiny when you first walk in, but there are rooms everywhere leading off the bar, so it is deceptively spacious. Lovely sunny beer garden out front. Food is eye-wateringly expensive and not very good. I won't be back Hotel highlights: Quiet
