Post Ranch Inn - Big Sur

Absolutely amazing, it really does take your breath away.The location is just mind blowing, with service to match.If you are looking for a spoil or celebration this is certainly it.From check in, to check out the service and staff are just incredible. We really didn’t want to leave, so much so we ended up staying an extra night!!! It really is a slice of heaven in big sur. we will 100% be back on our next visit to the CA.I also left my AirPods and they kindly overnighted them to San Diego for me!

Had the amazing opportunity to stay at the Post Ranch Inn. The property and landscaping is gorgeous while staying true to the natural landscape and foliage of Big Sur.I stayed in an Upper Mountain House and I cannot have asked for a better room. The room is absolutely gorgeous and the views of the mountains were stunning so much so that both my girlfriend and I took lots of photos and videos of the room to share with our family and friends. The gorgeousness of the room also balances perfectly with being warm and inviting. It made you want to spend as much time in it as possible. The bathtub reminisces of an Asian onsen and the complimentary mini bar is a great touch.The service is also superb and genuine. The check in experience was unique, relaxing, and personable. DJ (the Manager , Chin (the Front Desk Agent , Tim Lee (the GM , and the bellmans (sorry forgot their names! that helped me at check in and check out all went out of their way to make sure I feel welcome. The whole staff, in general, were friendly and were always smiling.The restaurant was amazing too. The food was top notch (comparable to a Michelin starred restaurant , our server was friendly and engaging with a great sense of humor, and the timing between courses was perfect we had plenty of time to enjoy each course, did not feel rushed, and the next course comes almost immediately as soon as we finished our current course.The overall service was thoughtful and personal. The staff used my name consistently and they anticipated my needs for example, at breakfast, the hostess asked me if I had dinner plans already and if I would like assistance with dinner reservations.The pools especially the Meditation Pool were divine.All in all, 11 out of 10. Would recommend.

I’ve contemplated holding off writing this review as I didn’t want to expose the world’s best kept secret…Post Ranch Inn.My (now) fiancé and I are from New York and knew that I wanted to propose to her in a location that spoke for itself. I also wanted to choose a place that felt special and where we could visit for future anniversaries in the years to come. Her family and I had traveled to California in January 2022 to scout out a good “nature” location for me to pop the question in June. There was no doubt in my mind when we first stepped on property at Post Ranch Inn. It was the most beautiful place we had ever seen, from the redwoods to the ocean views. From January to June we had worked closely with Derek and Hana to plan the surprise visit.I can’t say enough about the extra mile that Derek and Hana went to plan this special day for us and our families. Regular check ins leading up to June made us feel like a part of the Post Ranch Inn family. They helped coordinate everything from communication with vendors (photographer/videographer, flowers, musician) to the set-up of the cliffside proposal location to the after dinner meal. They also helped get our families into place for the surprise reveal that they had flown across the country.Post Ranch Inn has to be the most romantic resort we could have ever dreamed of. Everything from the elegant rooms overlooking the Pacific, to the five star food accommodations (also overlooking the ocean) is perfectly executed. The service is unparalleled and staff go the extra mile to make sure that nothing can be done to make your stay more memorable. It’s worth every penny.If you are planning a wedding, proposal, or any relaxing vacation, I highly recommend a visit to Post Ranch Inn. We are counting down the days until our next visit to Big Sur.

High dollar lunch with a birds eye view of the ocean! A unique experience in Big Sur. You have to do it at least once for lunch! Warning! LUNCH WAS $75 EACH and you have to make a reservation with a $50 refundable deposit. Dinner is $150 each and doesn't include wine. The view is forever unless the fog rolls in.Walkability: You have to enter via ascending stairs! We were told we could be shuttled to the resturant but the climb through the redwoods is definitely part of the unique experience!
