Frutta Bowls - Birmingham

Disappointed! I've visited Frutta many times, but today they've lost a customer. I ordered a small bowl, but I received a bowl overflowing with granola. When I asked the manager about the minimal amount of base, she informed me that they had to reduce portion sizes and that I would need to purchase another bowl to get more. Shaking my head!

I typically would give this place a 5-star rating. However, my latest experience was disappointing because there was hardly any açaí in my bowl. I noticed that others who ordered to-go had the same issue. I'm not sure what caused this, but it was quite disappointing!

The Chocolate Explosion and Pink Flamingo desserts were both delicious!

I had an acai bowl a little over a month ago. It had pineapples, strawberries, bananas, granola, Nutella and acai base. I enjoyed it but about 6-8 hours later I vomited it all up. It had to have been the strawberries because I rarely have any kind of vomit spells. They looked so fake. I won't ever be back because I can't risk getting sick again. I'll stick to somewhere else next time I'm craving an acai bowl.

The food is great and the service is usually on point but we waited for 10 minutes and no one came out from the back. Saw them sitting on their phones.
