Village Tavern - Birmingham

For years, I had not visited, but I decided to go for lunch. Both the meal and the service were outstanding! I definitely won't wait so long to come back again.

A large group of friends gathered here for dinner, and the atmosphere was lively and cheerful. Since we arrived a bit early before others joined us, we mingled with the crowd and ordered some early rolls and cocktails. Our server was attentive, and the rolls were excellent; our drinks arrived quickly. As friends, we settled into our space. I was pleased to see that there was plenty of room for all 20 of us, and our server promptly brought us water, drinks, and appetizers while we waited for the last of our friends to arrive. We ordered a variety of steaks, salads, and sandwiches, all of which were well-prepared, hot, and delicious—more than most of us could finish. The next day, I enjoyed a fantastic lunch made from my leftovers. I’m not sure when we’ll return to Birmingham, but I know we’ll definitely eat here again when we do!

This was my first time here dinner and it was just amazing! I chose to have the main rib and it was cooked and seasoned for perfection! For the pages I had smeared potatoes and the Mac and cheese. The potatoes will definitely get an A and the Mac and the cheese was just okay for me, definitely could have used more cheese. Had some old fashions from the bar and they were both phenomenal and I cannot leave this review without our fabulous server Courtney (sp). One of the best customer service experiences I had in a restaurant in some time. The server in conjunction with the food is sure that I will come back in the future when I am in Birmingham.

Great food, atmosphere and staff. Busy but not too much wait. They have a huge list of cocktails, wines, drinks. One of the best mojitos and martini places in birmingham. The crab dip is a must !!!
