We had an absolutely amazing experience at the chef's table last night. The service was top-notch: the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The food was exceptional, and the educational insights provided by the head chef about the meal were truly enlightening. The drinks we enjoyed were also fantastic, and we loved the unique UK/Birmingham twist to everything. Overall, it was an outstanding dining experience.

My wife and I visited Carter's of Moseley for a special night out while we were visiting family in the Solihull area. We chose Carter's based on its Michelin rating and convenient location near where we were staying. We opted for the Chef's Table, which offered a close-up view of the kitchen and seated up to 5 people. We arrived early for our reservation and were warmly greeted and seated at our table. We decided not to do the wine pairing and instead had a lovely conversation with Ester, our sommelier for the evening, who helped us choose the perfect wines. The chef, Brad, and his team were hard at work in the kitchen and we enjoyed watching them prepare each course. The menu featured locally sourced British ingredients and each dish was beautifully presented and explained in detail. The flavors were outstanding, with highlights including the Truffle Royal and delicate hake dish. The service was exceptional and the staff were engaging and attentive throughout our 4-hour dining experience. We ended the night with a delicious dessert of buttermilk soft serve ice cream. Overall, our experience at Carter's of Moseley was on par with other Michelin-starred restaurants we have dined at in the USA. We were impressed by the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. Thank you to Brad, Holly, and the entire team at Carter's for a wonderful evening – we will definitely be returning.

Absolutely phenomenal experience, booked the chef's table for our anniversary and it couldn't have been any better, staff were friendly, attentive and went above and beyond. All staff members made sure we was comfortable and the food is an experience on its own. You have to try it yourself to fully appreciate it. The chef's were all lovely and kept checking in on us and it was so fascinating to watch a kitchen work so well and as a unison. Would absolutely return again.

If I could give it 6 stars I would, 5 doesn't do it justice. The most exceptional food experience I've ever had in my life without a doubt. The attention to detail was to second to none. The service was fantastic, welcoming and not pretentious at all. Every single dish was impactful and memorable but the monkfish dish might be the best thing I've ever eaten. The wine pairing was a brilliant addition, full of interesting and delicious wines pairing seamlessly with the food. Overall Carter's was an unforgettable experience, the flavours will live long in the memory and I can't wait to visit again. I've visited other 1* Michelin star restaurants and Carter's is in a league of its own, definitely worthy of 2*.
