The Balcony Brasserie - Birmingham

Had a great meal here, very well prepared food and lovely place to take friends. Staff were helpful and food served quickly and to very high standard. Thanks for looking after us, we will be back!

I went to this restaurant for lunch with a friend, and I have to say that the food was average and the service was below average. We wanted to order afternoon tea for two after lunch, but unfortunately they no longer offer it.

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend. It is run by San Carlos so serves Italian tapas food. The portions are very generous and there is a wide variety to choose from. Everything is served hot and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is great. If you're looking for a lunchtime treat, definitely give it a try. It's best to book in advance as it is a very busy place.

During our recent trip to Birmingham, we decided to stop in for a glass or two of Prosecco. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, which made our visit enjoyable. We were so pleased with our experience that we ended up staying for two bottles! The decor of the bar is beautiful and the atmosphere is very relaxed. It's the perfect spot to take a break from shopping or simply unwind.

Took my elderly Mum to celebrate her 80th birthday. Been to the Champagne bar before, loved it so wanted to treat her again. It had completely changed since the last time I visited but that wasn't the problem. This is now an Italian Restaurante Tapa style. Pre booked our table and was shown to a lovely corner. Initially we asked waiter for 2 Kier Royale's to start. He looked blankly at me, we repeated again and he said he was unsure if they offered that would have to check. Checked again, this wasn't an option so we had 2 glasses of Prosecco. Waiter struggled to understand us, we struggled to understand him! Decided on our main meal, we had to repeat it 3 times to get the order right, he was obviously very new, but was unsure what was on the menu. His Italian access was so strong we actually thought we were in Italy. I understand that everyone has to start somewhere but this was really poor. The food was lovely, though the tomato and basil salad lacked the basil.
