The Woodman - Birmingham

This is a beautiful, old-style pub located amidst modern developments. It offers affordable real ales at the bar, with four different selections from four breweries during my visit. The food, while decent, is on the pricier side. When I stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon, the beer was in excellent condition. They also serve a variety of ciders, primarily from Lilley’s, with three options available during my visit. On tap, you'll find Freedom Lager, Carlsberg, Krombacher Pils, Hogan’s Cider, Kingston Press Wild Berry, Purity Session IPA, Erdinger, and Guinness. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this pub if you're in Birmingham, especially if you enjoy real ales or ciders.

This traditional tiled pub offers an excellent selection of craft beer and real ale. It has a lively, student-friendly vibe. Although I didn't eat there, I noticed that several patrons were enjoying meals, and the portion sizes looked impressive for the reasonable prices. However, one downside during my visit on Saturday morning was the strange atmosphere, as there were only about five people in the pub and loud music playing, which felt a bit off.

I visited this lovely traditional pub right after stopping by the think tank, which is literally just across the street. It was a perfect place to take a break! The atmosphere was charming, the staff were friendly, and the prices were quite reasonable. My husband ordered the brisket and said it was one of the best he had ever tasted—he’s a former cook, so his opinion carries weight! Definitely worth a visit!

A brilliant pub, always have a great range of drink to choose from and really friendly staff. The food is decent quality and comforting. One of my favourite places to stop by after work.
