Woody's Country House - Blakeslee

The hostess refused to seat our family of five, even though there were clearly available tables. When we inquired about the reason, she simply shrugged and walked away. It was incredibly rude and embarrassing. We decided to drive to Murphy's Loft instead, where we were welcomed with smiles and seated within seconds.

The food was incredibly fresh and delicious. We were looking for a quiet spot to enjoy a meal with our kids and ended up loving it so much that we invited my in-laws to join us. We sampled a variety of dishes from the menu and were thoroughly impressed with everything! We tried the Shrimp Scampi, BLT, Chicken Tenders, California Burger, and Grilled Salmon. I just wish I had remembered to take pictures of all the delicious food!

Woody's Country House offers poor service and has extremely rude staff. There is also a limited selection of food available.

Stop by those little 'Mom and Pop ' places you see...Restaurant, country store, antique shop, farmers market, roadside stand...They will surprise you almost every time. There 's a little place not far from the Pocono Racetrack, Woody 's Country House. If you 're hungry, stop by. I stopped in for lunch today, after driving by the place dozens, if not more times, on my way to somewhere else. I ate one of the best burgers I have had in a very long time. It was as near to perfect as any burger could be, and I 'm a pretty good cook. The burger was hot and fresh, as well as the fries. Timing to the table was perfect. I did not see the grill, but the taste was 'fresh off a charcoal grill ' Their menu is much more extensive than burgers, but, if they put that much care and thought into 'just a burger ', I 'd eat everything else.

So glad Woody's was open! We called ahead for pick up. Waited for a few minutes but it wasn't too crowded so I felt safe. I ordered the salmon New Orleans with garlic linguine. Still nice and hot when we got home. Great flavor on the salmon. Husband had cheese steak special with onion rings. All gone must have been great! Thanks for being there in a pandemic when I am sick of cooking! Service was wonderful.
