Stamna Taverna - Bloomfield

Very good good food although portions a bit big for me i advise to share no alcohol served so all the people had alcohol from the mearby store

The service, atmosphere and 99% of the food I have ordered at Stamna have always been fantastic. I've had two issues with them on take out/catering orders back to back weeks. Last week, I placed an order for a dinner party I was hosting, and among the order, we had 30 assorted souvlaki sticks (10 pork, 10 chicken, 10 shrimp). Everything was delicious except for the pork sticks which were incredibly tough and inedible. I did not complain as I am a regular at Stamna and they rarely if ever get it wrong. Last night, I was hosting another, smaller dinner party and ordered from Stamna. When the driver arrived, they had 1 bag in hand. I knew it was off because I was quite familiar with what I ordered. My guests were already hungry by this point. I contacted Stamna, and they advised that they had the other bag at their restaurant. In fairness, they did try to call me to advise me that a big was missing from the delivery, but, our calls must have missed each other. So, with only half the food here, I served our guests (a variety of different Greek salads, makarounes pastichio) all of which were delicious. The balance of the food (souvlaki sticks, assorted dips, pita breads, etc) arrived approximately 40 minutes later (Stamna did have one of their employees drive the other bag over) but by that point, we were done eating, and I just gave the food to my guests to take home. Luckily, my dinner guests were cool, but, I don't find either scenario acceptable. As previously mentioned, I am a regular at Stamna and they will continue to receive my business because they get it right 99% of the time, and in my opinion, are the best authentic Greek restaurant anywhere around this area, but, feedback is necessary.

Great spacious place with outdoor seating available, Endri was my server. He was polite, but didn’t hear/remember that I asked for salmon with my salad. There’s parking in the back they don’t serve alcohol. Nice family friendly restaurant. Good for meetings and conversations. The coffee is good too!

Fabulous!! Delicious Greek food served in a Taverna setting . Great service knowledgeable friendly staff who adds a personal touch. Branzino (lavraki) my favorite fish.

Outstanding food. Outstanding service. Prices and quality are spot on. Great atmosphere.
