I don't know if the location was able to establish enough, but I hope. The location is best in any case: between Böblingen's upper and lower towns, only opposite the Mühlbach quarter, which is probably renovated, and just a few steps from the Volksbank, Kreissparkasse and the rest of the shopping center, is usually expected to run quite a lot. Not at the moment. The cactus is located on the ground floor of a relatively new building complex on Friedrich-List-Platz. A few years ago there was a bark and a parking lot. Today's building scores through urban simplicity and puristic charm – and so also through the cactus: much illuminated concrete, simple furniture in the colors gray, black, beige, generous areas and sufficient placement at square black tables. Reminds a bit of a very well maintained Mensa. In normal times. At the moment there is of course only coffee to go, but this is very high quality and with best advice. So maybe not for the customer, but for certain coffee aficionados. Little delicacies like croissants and Macarons and sweet treats. At the moment, of course, to take everything. You order a large, inviting wooden counter. The offer of coffee specialities is made on a slate table. During my first curious visit at the beginning of February, I first sneak to advice. In fact, I have not grown so much for all coffee, preparation, countries of origin and taste. When I try to present my preferences, I still serve a wine tasting vocabulary that needs to be easily interpreted with simultaneous translation to Barista. In the cactus, however, it becomes clear: The owner Stavros Kalpaklis is a fan of mild roasts. And gives to remember that a strong coffee, its caffeine content and its actual aroma are still different pairs of shoes. Bitter substances ade. After in-depth advice (yes, there is enough time at the moment – no customer pushes from behind, the time seems to stretch out endlessly) a “Flat White” is suggested to me. Of course I'm completely ignorant. With Flat I have so far associated in most one floor apartment. The fact that a double Ristretto hides behind it rests for the first time. The whole is brewed from today's house coffee, which comes from Peru. Apparently he should have fruity aromas, with chocolate and nuts flavors in the finish (to stay in the wine vocabulary). Certainly, the fruity aromas always remain strange to me. I have no taste pills, of course. But chocolate and nuts are good to taste; For this purpose, the milk that is very easily beaten is really wonderful. A jammer that only the To-Go variant is possible, so much stillos in the carton cup. Since I have always agreed to go through the area with coffee cups, because the Volksbank has built a bank a few steps away. Although it rained shortly before, you can sit here and enjoy. At first, the amount seems to be scary to me, but then the dosed caffeine content proves to be right to be flushed with enough swing. 3.60 Euro is the fun. Next time, I like to try another dosage form, maybe another bean. And at some point the café can be opened again. I look forward to it!
