Caffè Capri - Boise

I have been visiting this restaurant for years, and it used to be a delightful experience, but unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. For several months now, I've been facing issues with incorrect orders, including a Terry's special that wasn't heated properly and was still frozen in the middle, as well as unfriendly staff. Today was probably the last straw for me. I ordered a breakfast burrito (having been traumatized by a frozen egg a few weeks ago, I decided to try something different), and when the server asked if I wanted salsa or sour cream, I requested hot sauce if it was available. She scoffed and curtly responded that she only had salsa and sour cream. I said I would take the salsa then—no problem with the hot sauce. But her attitude? It was really off-putting, and that's no way to start the day. I think I'm done with this place.

This was my first visit to this café, and as someone new to the area who enjoys good coffee, I was eager to check it out, especially since it's conveniently located in the same parking lot as my gym. I really wanted to enjoy my experience here. The coffee was actually quite good, and the café itself has a charming atmosphere. However, the staff member who opened today did not seem happy or welcoming. She barely acknowledged my presence, despite me greeting her with a "good morning." Additionally, although the posted hours indicated a 5:30 am opening, the doors didn't actually open until 6:00 am. Thankfully, I didn't have school right after my workout, but I would have been frustrated if I had to wait for them to open and then face a further delay before getting my coffee. I'm hoping this experience isn't typical, especially since it's so close to my gym. I'll give them another chance on a different day and hope for better service.

They definitely get an A in terms of seating and space. Plus there 's a drive-thru for convenience! I got the pistachio latte with almond milk and a blueberry scone, and I wasn 't loving the scone. It was priced the same as other places but was maybe half the size and not as good. It wasn 't bad; it just should have been cheaper for what it was. The latte was also very very hot when it arrived. That 's more a personal preference of mine, so if you love 'em hot, they definitely deliver! I loved that I had a spot to work, but it wasn 't really my favorite overall vibe. I love cozy spots with couches and fun menus. But for a quick spot on your way out of Boise or to a hike, this is a good option.

Would love to give a positive review, however the couple times I've wanted to meet friends for coffee, you've been closed. Please post accurate hours.Really hoping this turns out to be a go-to place.
