From the time we sat down to when we were leaving the staff couldn’t do enough to ensure our afternoon was a great experience. The quality of Prosecco which my wife loved and sharing platter was of an excellent standard and we would definitely be back next time.
We came to celebrate our boys exam results and it was a treat for them however not one staff member acknowledged this and given we kept talking about it and was straight from exam results given out I was slightly disappointed especially as it was 10.30am and very quiet in the restaurant. We ordered 2 x full English and two other dishes and all had drink each bill was about £48 which I thought was reasonable for this day and age. I ordered a pate on toast and the menu said it came with chutney and salad which I was looking forward to, when I politely asked why mine didn't have any the waitress asked the manageress who explained due to it being breakfast time it wouldn't come with it, really that should have been pointed out upon ordering. The waitress was lovely BTW and was only able to give us what management told her. My partner wanted to order a toastie off the special menu however he was told we couldn't due to it being breakfast time and only one person cooking in the kitchen, we found this odd as the dish was no more difficult to make than a full cooked breakfast. Another dish was salmon and scrambled eggs which my son said tasted average, the milkshake tasted more of milk than anything else. The table also felt sticky. All in all slightly disappointed as it always looks very appealing on Facebook posts and walking past but I didn't feel we received a product or service that would warrant more than 3 stars.
Wish I had had that I came today and the sandwich was awful the bread was dry and the salad garnish had no dressing. I asked if there was any salad dressing and was told “I don’t know let me ask
We ordered a afternoon tea platter for a 60th birthday. The order was half an hour late when collected. The order was for 12 people but there were very few sandwiches for the price paid. There was not enough to go around. We also had to ask for cream on collection of the order. Once at home we realised they had supplied whipping cream not clotted cream. Also there was no jam supplied. This was not a cheap order so you would expect a certain level of service. Not very good value for money either.
I ordered the tasting platter which I had ordered and enjoyed in the past,I received an average salad, with cheese, and a tiny pate and olives,no coleslaw, cous cous or hummus, for the 11pound plus cost very dissapointed,
