Once upon a time, many years ago, this buffet wasn't bad. Now it's horrible. Boiled shrimp overcooked, soggy, and tasteless. Something I'm assuming to be roast beef tasted like it was boiled and had all the flavor boiled out, yet somehow it was dry AF. Fried chicken was good, but didn't justify the $55 for 2 price. Desserts were dried out and flavorless too. Hopefully you don't want drink refills because no one will come around to refill it. Then they get upset if you go get it yourself. Halfway through my stomach was gurgling, asking why are you doing this to me? And it kept asking that for several hours. Won't be back.
I don't know why they rename the buffet. I'm sure this place had three names. Anyway, Horseshoe's buffet was always my favorite; we just never came because of the prices. But I went on a Sunday late a day, and it cost $19 to get in. I really enjoyed myself. The catfish was really at the point. Shrimp was fresh. Grapefruit juice was amazing. My only complaint was the waitress we had. She barely came to our table, but Mama had watched her and said she was really busy all over the area. So she wasn't just standing around to do nothing. We tipped them, but it didn't seem like they were really remarkable, as if they were often very distracted. My other complaint was the children in the dessert area. They picked up their hands in the cookies. I wish parents would shadow their children.
Was a good buffet. Many different articles to choose from. We came during Thanksgiving to have Thanksgiving dinner. The dressing was great. The lime cake was dying. Overall we came fast, and our server was great and very friendly and helpful. Let's go.
We love the horseshoe buffet ! We eat here often . Yes the pricing is on the high end a little but to me the food does justify the cost. They serve raw shrimp daily and other cold and warm seafood . The fried catfish is amazing as well as the fried chicken and the mashed potatoes in the evening is divine ! The only con that I can say is that they lack in the salad bar very small and not many choices !! I have to give props to the wait staff : Jeremy and Jean are amazing !!! Thank you guys for taking such great care of us! The cashiers and hosts are also very friendly and accommodating!
