Pirate De La Mer - Bouctouche

This restaurant offers exactly what you'd expect from a typical coastal town in New Brunswick: delicious, freshly fried seafood and a wonderfully friendly staff. It made for a perfect afternoon!

My favorite place! It's a small family-owned business that takes great pride in their food. Everything is delicious, and they have the BEST French fries in the world!

What a fantastic find! The food was excellent, and I must say the prices were reasonable. The service was great as well. Keep up the amazing work, everyone!

Lobster rolls are absolutely on point. The poutine however can use some work, they are served with what seem to be Costco crinkle fries topped with shredded mozzarella cheese, not the best. My recommendation to Pirates de la Mer, would be to cut, blanche and fry local potatoes and use real curd (squeaky) cheese.

Food was ok, and fish was kind of soggy instead of crispy. I did take issue with the wait time. I placed my order over the phone because I was heading out with my two dogs in the car and didn’t want to leave them waiting too long. I was told 10 15 minutes… I arrived at about the 15 minute mark, and was told it would be another 5 10 minutes. So I went out with my dogs and waited another 10 minutes before going in again. Still not ready. It took almost 40 minutes to finally get my food. I’m fine with the wait time, but please give more reasonable estimates.
