Restaurant La Sagouine - Bouctouche

Staying next door we ate here twice, both times really great reception and lovely food too. For dinner we both had the magnificent seafood chowder to start, chock full of lobster and scallops. Then Seafood Casserole and Fisherman’s Platter. We had to take all the batter off the latter as didn’t realise it was deep fried. Both dishes packed with tasty lobster, shrimps, scallops and all things from the sea. Breakfast was equally good – chef’s and country breakfast and decent bottomless coffee. It was my second time at this location, I found that this establishment was very clean and comfortable, the staff was very kind, the first time I was Here I had potato pancakes, they were great. The second time, I had the seafood chowder, it had a hefty amount of seafood including shrimp, clam pieces, scallop and lobster. The prices are reasonable and the portions are awesome. Washrooms clean .

Service wasn’t good. Waited long for our meals and waitress (possibly one of the managers) were not friendly. I think she was the only waitress. She didn’t come back to fill our waters until after we were done and we asked her to. Took so long to get the basic service. Food was decent.

Fricot Soup was very good along with a delicious roll. Breakfast was good. Very clean and spotless.

Where we are in Bouctouche, we stop here. A great family restaurant and great food. The menu has something for everyone ?
