La Mariposa Margarita House - Boulder

We love their barria tacos! we come at least once every 2 weeks. their drinks are good too. (even if you want a virgin one just ask! the service is good but can be a little better. but we love the environment and the only thing we?ve gotten that we haven?t loved is the elotes. (ours weren?t all the way cooked and a little hard but otherwise we?ve loved everything we?ve gotten.

I?ve been to La Mariposa at least 12 times since they opened last year and always been treated with amazing service, outstanding food, and one of the best Mexican Restaurant experiences I have ever experienced. Their margaritas keep me coming back for more, (not to mention the rewards program? free margarita on national margarita day? Well, the Birria tacos are my best friend. The owner was at the bar tonight and it was great to meet him and wish I had interviewed thisbusiness sooner, but I?m glad I waited because now I can really detail how much I appreciate this business. Please visit this place, it is hands down the best and most unique restaurant experience Boulder has to offer.

Pretty restaurant inside. They have a bar too. Prices are good. The food is not bad. Not too authentic but good. Except my pile of beans was pretty small. Like 2 cm high. The service is good.

La Mariposa is a great dining experience, friendly staff, amazing food, and fast service. Would recommend coming here to dine. Overall very happy with the experience and definitely will be visiting again. One of the top places to dine in Boulder! Special thanks to Alexi for the great service too!

The good: really friendly staff, and the molcajete ranchero was really tasty (the steak was a little overdone) and fed two people (with an extra side order of Mexican rice). The less than great: we were seated in a booth that had salt all over one seat, the floor underneath was greasy, and the menus were sticky/had a tacky feeling to them, like they?d been wiped with a dirty rag. The four star rating is really related to the food, and we will be back to try the cocktails!
