Thanksgiving dinner in a buttery French pasty. It could have gone wrong, but it was so RIGHT. Very satisfying, and dessert pies were also really good. So much filling it oozes out if you aren't careful. Great little treat!
Grabbed a late breakfast for myself and my wife — a sausage roll and an egg, cheese and green chile pie.Haven't had a sausage roll in years to that was a treat. The pastry is great and the sausage meat was seasoned the way I like it with a good punch of sage and a little kick to it as well. I'd probably make it longer and slimmer if I made one at home, but that's just me hankering after what I used to get in the UK.My wife preferred the breakfast pie. Myself I'd have liked more cheese and green chile and maybe some chunks of ham. I'm channeling a burrito filling basically... ? I also reckon it'd be awesome with some New Mexico style red chile.Anyway, definitely tip top and will return to grab some pies for dinner soon.
If you can ever catch this place open, it’s delish! Flaky crust and amazing variety of fillings. My favorites are the bbq pork beans, and the blueberry. Mmm
I live outside CO so only come in once a year and the pies are HUGE and tasty. They have increased the size of the pies and the pastry is perfect and flaky. Well worth flying in just for a really good pie!
