I have visited the afternoon tea at Hotel Miramar twice, as I was truly impressed after my first experience. During my initial visit, we were able to sit outside with a stunning view of the sea. On my second visit, we enjoyed our time in the drawing room next to the window, also overlooking the sea. The food was delicious, featuring a great selection of sandwiches and sweet treats. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our requests. Overall, it offers excellent value for money compared to other places that serve afternoon tea.
The service was slow. After placing my order, I was informed just 10 minutes later that some ingredients were unavailable, so I had to choose something else. The prices were typical for pub food.
Nice place for a quiet place to eat for mature adults.
Lovely location, and good weather enabled everyone to sit outside on the sunny terrace. The staff were friendly and welcoming and provided good service, but the food was disappointing. Some sandwiches were dry, tasted as though they'd been made the day before. The waiter replaced it promptly with another dry sandwich. The desserts were small taster size portions (which was fine) but did not appear freshly made. The cream tea part of the menu was nice, but again a very small scone. The gluten free option was preferred over the regular afternoon tea by our group.
