My family and I visited this restaurant on a busy Tuesday and were seated at a nice table in the corner. We were greeted by a waiter named Djamel who provided excellent service by taking our order promptly and keeping us informed throughout our meal. The food was delicious and I would highly recommend this restaurant. If you find yourself in Bournemouth and are looking for a great dining experience with excellent service, be sure to check out Pizza Express!
Started off fine, starters all ok. But my sons pizza was cold. We sent it back, and it was reheated, but as the plate was still cold, it hardly stayed hot. To be honest, if I hadn't wanted to upset him, it would have been sent back again. We declined desserts and coffee as by then the music had been turned on loudly (it was calm and quiet when we arrived) and I wouldn't have booked if I had known about the music. I had gift vouchers to pay with and clearly the waitress hadn't a clue how to use them. First, she told me I couldn't use them with offers! Then it took nearly 10 minutes for her to fathom out how to take them off the bill.
Visited here today for the first time, whilst holidaying in the area for a few days. Restaurants virtually empty. Shown to a table quickly and given menus. After that, we were completely ignored! I was unable to ‘catch the wye’ or any waiting staff, so after nearly 20 minutes, we left and dined next door instead! I will not be returning to this particular branch of Pizza Express again.
Walked in on my own. Made eye contact with two members of staff. Ignored. A family came in. They were greeted as if long lost friends and seated. I stood there. Still ignored. Walked out. Why was I ignored just for being alone?
