The staff are very friendly and helpful to my needs, since I am visually Impaired and I know they are polite to other customers. The food comes out quite quickly, unless they are busy and then it is a 20 to 30 minute wait for your food to arrive. I once waited for 40 minutes, however, that was over the Christmas and School summer holidays. I came in yesterday and received my food within 10 minutes after ordering, a Baked potato with cheese and beans, as I usually have soup and a wholemeal roll, but the soup was not to my liking on this occasion. There was plenty of tables free and after we left it got busy.
Took 30 minutes for out toasties to be brought out and we skipped hot drinks as only one person (very slowly) doing this. The staff were swamped and there were quite a few dirty tables. I would rather go to one of the other cafes at Castlepoint in the future for a quick coffee or lunch.
This cafe is a last resort. There are so many nicer cafes is castlepoint. It’s dark, prices are average and service is slow. Staff are nice but it must be a pretty awful job for them.
Just an average meal me and mum went there before shopping I had a jacket potato not much choice for a coeliac cant really go wrong with a spud
The turkey roast tasted like processed packet meat and lacked the taste of real turkey. It was also served virtually cold. The coffee was the only highlight, but overall the meals need improvement. The quality was poor and the flavors were bland.
