Before I ordered a member of staff came to us and asked us to leave because my wonderful shorts didn't look fancy enough to impress the 10 customers they had. This place is so discriminatory and my advise to anyone who wants to visit the sunny Bournemouth is dont visit this place as they discriminate on clothing .. ironically they are by the beach where people would naturally wear light clothes during their holiday break. AVOID!
Me and my boyfriend went to this bar at 4pm on a sunny Saturday afternoon (6th August) 25 degrees heat, both wearing shorts, mine being short shorts, his being a £100 designer pair of shorts, plain, nothing wrong with them. I was allowed straight in, he was turned away, due to his dress code?! Absolutely ridiculous considering sat at the seating area at the front was other males wearing shorts. If your looking for somewhere to drink on a hot summer's day.......Don't drink here!!!!
I could put 0 if it was possible. Me and my friend came out of a long day walk down the Jurassic coast, we decided before going to a hotel to change that we would treat ourselves with some cocktails so we visited this very empty bar. We sat down, chose what we want to get and by the time we manged to get to a bar, we were approached by a staff member stating that we wouldnt be served because we have sporty clothes. At first i was thinking its a joke, but unfortunately it was not. The bar was empty, not a single other customer. Its not like is some posh restaurant in Mayfair London, its just a simple, not so clean average bar witg very cheap looking design. I could understand if it happened 10 years ago but those days its absolutely unacceptable that people are being discriminated based on what they wear. Ive noticed i am not the only person who left a poor but well deserved review here. Shame on you
I was coming from another city, I saw on the website it’s open till 11pm I went there 10pm and the manager said he not gonna serve me but he was having fun during his work with his friends. Definitely not coming back.
Volume is not a substitute for good music choice, sound quality or a sense of ambience. Many of the staff seem only partially trained, being well able to mix drinks, but less able to manage troublesome patrons . Additionally a splash of bitters in soda being priced at £3 is a further poor indication of managements inability to do the basics required of them. Frankly a sticky, dull, cookie cutter experience.
