I had scampi and chips at this restaurant last Saturday. It was very disappointing; the small portion of thin, cold fries was accompanied by just a spoonful of peas and about 8 tough scampi nuggets. For a price of over £9, it was very poor value for money.
Service is good. Pub needs a refurb inside and out to help it compete with competitors. It feel like it hasn't had one for a long long time.
I wanted to give an honest review of this pub, and I was excited to try it out. The pub was clean and had a relaxed atmosphere. The bartender was friendly and made good drink recommendations. However, the food service was slow and disappointing. I wouldn't recommend using the at-the-table app if you have poor signal, and I'm not sure if they offer free WiFi. When our food finally arrived, the chicken burger was alright, but it was topped with a cold slice of bacon that could have been cooked longer. I suggest toasting the bun a bit more, and not using wooden sticks in the burgers as they can sweat and splinter. The spicy topping on the chips wasn't very spicy, and the cheese overpowered the other flavors. Despite these issues, I would give this place another chance as it was well-presented and every place can have an off day. To the establishment, I will be returning next week and I apologize for the critical review. I believe it was just an off day, and I appreciate the invitation to give it another try. I will update my review after my next visit.
It's ok..... It's weird that if you want to go in for a drink, you still have to wait to be seated at a table. Nothing was particularly good or bad so it was ok
