I had the French toast offered on a Sunday, the strawberries were unquestionably fresh, the toast was out of the oven, earthy and delicious. As I dug deeper in to the edges and reached the cream and Crushed pistachios, I had to slow down, the flavors were actually intellectual and absolutely on point. The portions are incredibly generous, the service is more than great. Maisie stopped by to say hello, pick up plates and greet my two Aussies, she was genuine and added to the great vibe of Tweets. Anyone that stopped by the table was extremely pleasant. You will wait in line, absolutely worth the experience to eat at my now favorite place in the Skagit County area. This hidden gem is very worthy of your patronage. Indoor and outdoor seating available, dog friendly outside with a choice of sitting on the deck or the lush landscape around their property. I can’t wait to go back.
My daughter me came in for lunch today, Tweets did not disappoint the food was sooooooooo good. We will be back
Tweets is located on an S bend thoroughfare in the tiny town of Edison you’ll see cyclists and motorists touring Skagit County while you enjoy your amazing meal in their outdoor patio or garden. The food manages to always be fresh and in season no matter the time of year you visit. It’s rustic and elevated, even served in a cardboard takeout box. Most recently we tried the smoked salmon on toast points with a bright vinaigrette, rustic torta (meats and veggies stacked then baked in a savory puff pastry), and the cherry pie. Be forewarned that the serving sizes are inconsistent the salmon dish and salads are probably considered single serving while the rustic torta and porchetta sandwich can be shared. Not sure what the fuss over bad service is about we’ve had stellar service every visit and hey, everyone has a bad day once in awhile. Parking: No dedicated parking lot street parking along the road or in the neighborhood. Locals are very tolerant, but be sure not to block anyone’s driveway. Kid friendliness: Mostly outdoor patio dining with lots of kids and dogs afoot.
Important things to know: Food is excellent with very generous portions AND that includes desserts. We had pork sandwiches and cherry pie. The sandwiches were terrific, but coupled with the pie, too much for one meal. The sandwiches made a great dinner, too! I don't generally like cherry pie, but this was excellent. More pie, less sandwich next time!! Also, they are cash only.
My favorite country rustic spot. Beautiful place, best seasonal pies, great coffees and olive trees outside.
