This place still has the same format as the Bean Counter Cafe had, but with more items to choose from in all areas. Service is excellent and timely as before. A very nice fast food alternative.

We've so enjoyed visiting the Bean Counter with friends and family in the past. Food and quality has always been excellent.What a bummer when we visited today to see if new management were keeping it the same. Poor display, and appearance of baked goods, we had 2 panninis, mine was almost cold and both had a thin sliver of cheese, tomato, couple of slivers of pepper and some herbs,- definitely not the generous well filled panninis of before. Don't know if its the same baker, but its not the same place, so we won't be driving up from Qualicum Beach again .

Went out for a drive on a sunny Sunday afternoon to check out a mall in Bowser that friends had told me about with the Salish Sea Market and Bean Counter Cafe.I was well past lunch so went into this adorable cafe.Pleasant server. Daily specials and menu items easy to read.Served at counter but brought out to me after she heated up my order. Excellent coffee. Several tables/clean washroom and a deck bright with windows fully enclosed. Wasn't very crowded after lunch. Relaxed and enjoyed a coffee waiting for my chicken wrap. Yummy! Will return - lots of other coffee items and snacks or sandwiches etc. Handy to stop on the Old Island Hwy # 19-A just 2.5 km North out of Qualicum Bay in Bowser. Lots of parking and wheelchair accessible.A sign on the door saying the owner had sold and was thanking customers.Hope it maintains this level and not sure if it is under the new owner yet or not?

Last Friday after our group walk ( 20) . We had great fast service. Friendly help and I recommend the sweets with coffee.
