Darun Thai Restaurant - Bracken Ridge

I visited this restaurant for Mother's Day and really enjoyed the duck curry and red chicken curry. The kids had a creamy curry that was just right for their tastes. The portion sizes were very generous and the food was excellent. I deducted one star because the service was a bit slow, but other than that, it was a great dining experience.

We recently moved to the area and decided to try out this Thai restaurant for lunch. When we arrived, only one other table was occupied, which initially worried us. However, the decor was beautiful, everything was immaculately clean, and the staff were very attentive. We ordered the chicken green curry and Aussie Noodles, which were served within 10 minutes. As we enjoyed our meal, more customers arrived both for dine-in and takeaway. The dishes were amazing, with authentic Thai flavors and fresh, high-quality ingredients. The portion sizes were perfect for a satisfying lunch. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant for its delicious food, especially considering the affordable price of less than $10. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

Fresh ingredients and the food always tastes great.  My only complaint is that the serving sizes are hit and miss.  I stopped purchasing the lunchtime specials when the last couple were 80% steamed rice.  Last weekend my container of the dish I ordered was only three quarters full which was disappointing.  Staff are always very friendly. I would give 5 stars if the order size was fair and consistent.

I don't understand the negative reviews. We recently got back from Thailand and went to this restaurant last night. The food was just as good as what we had in Khao Lak, Thailand. The service was excellent. I ordered the red curry spicy and it was fantastic. I will definitely be coming back.
