I am really hurt by my experience at akbars cafe, I went with a few friends on 3/8 and I have to say the food was mediocre and the service that we received was beyond shocking. We were a table of three and we felt from the offset that it was an inconvenience us been there, two of us finished our meal and then the waiter asked my friend (do you want a pack up box)… we were essentially told to get on with it. We were given the dessert menu, something we had every intention of getting but we felt like we were been pushed out of the door, cleaning up around us… not just our dirty plates but napkins, our unfinished water. Then the bill arrived when we hadn’t even asked for it. I complained to the manager, raised this issue with the manager and got a half hearted apology and he stormed off. I understand that they were busy but this was not the level you expect from such a place. Blunty, I work for a large hotel chain, I choose the approved caters for the large Asian weddings we host and I will be removing them from my list. So not only has this waiters and managers actioned resulted in loosing out on three dessert orders they will be loosing the commercial business that I provide them with. If your looking for somewhere to eat there for hundreds of options, this place is not what is was and it’s rude
I went to Akbar's with my partner's family last night and had an excellent experience. The service was exceptional from beginning to end. Our waiter Jimmy W was outstanding and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. The food was delicious and I highly recommend it. We left feeling completely satisfied and will definitely be returning soon.
Worst place would not recommend I went here with my friends to open my fast even after booking the table for them to turn us around and say the table is not booked and they have no space for us. Absolutely appalling customer service nobody had the curtesy to apologise for it even though I had rung the number on their website and someone had taken my name and booked the table prior. Awful customer service and I will not be going there again neither would I recommend.
Me and my son visited yesterday evening on 22/12/22. My son loves their chicken lasagne and I love the chicken nimbali. We would never go anywhere else to eat these two meals. The service was absolutely amazing, they interact with kids n make everyone feel welcomed. I’d like to say a big thank you to Samad and waleed.
I have visited Akbars restaurant and cafe on numerous occasions birthdays, work meals and special events, however recently the food has gone downhill a little. I visited in October 2022 with a friend service was great however the meat handi was somewhat not upto expectation the actual meat was excessively dry. We paid the bill and were charged for a pickle tray £1.40 which we did not order I asked the guy behind the till and his response was oh sorry and refund us the money back. I went again in November 2022 giving them the benefit of the doubt as we all have bad days. We ordered from the Chinese menu and the food came out cold which was sent back and promptly within a few minutes they had made it again fresh. I originally waiting for 25 minutes for the first one, this raises some questions, however had the meal and paid the bill. When I got to the car I had a look at the bill low and behold the same pickle tray magically appeard on my bill. I went back in and confronted the manager who was keen to usher me away from the customers waiting for a table and asked in an aggressive manner to lower my voice. I advised him this is not the first time this has happened and his response was he 's never seen me before? The manager without hesitation went to the till and handed me £1.40. Lets do some maths here if they are doing this to every customer everyday based on an assumption of 500 bills, This amounts to £700 per day, £4,900 per month, £58,800 per annum. This is only 1 branch let 's times this by the number of restaurants (10) that 's a whopping £588,000. Not to mention this going through the tills, so the whole organisation is in on this I wonder who the accountants are as they also have some questions to answer. Guys please be vigilant and always check your bill.
