We tried the mixed starter, lamb keema with peas, fish masala, and mushroom pakora, and enjoyed them all. The staff even accommodated my friend's request for a spinach paratha, even though it wasn't on the menu. Despite being a small, no-frills restaurant, it was fairly busy on a midweek night, which speaks for itself. The meal was good value, and for the three of us, it came to just over £50 and left us feeling satisfied.
I have visited this restaurant/takeaway several times and have been impressed each time. The meals are reasonably priced and prepared with fresh ingredients. I particularly enjoy the vegetarian dishes, while my husband raves about the delicious lamb balti. The homemade chapatis are a nice touch. Additionally, you have the option to order a soft drink or bring your own alcoholic beverages.
Our party of eight ordered a diverse selection of dishes at this restaurant, and we were all impressed by the delicious and beautiful food served in a lively ambiance. This place is a hidden gem in the local scene!
We have had a take away from here before and was very happy to come back. However this visit was very different, the puri was very much like sliced bread and the three different curries that we ordered tasted practically the same, other than two had chilli powder included. We have had tikka masalas in both Indian and English styles and the one we got didn’t taste like either. Sorry to say we won’t come back again and couldn’t recommend the restaurant.
Booked here for a family meal service and food was ok. Large selection of curries and all were tasty. The state of the toilets really raises the question of cleanliness because if the public areas aren’t cleaned who knows what the rest is like. With an average bill of £20 per head with no drinks (as it’s BYO) it wasn’t that good value for money. Won’t be rushing back and some real attention to cleanliness required.
