While the range of food has increased considerably, the standard has alarmingly decreased. The previous staff always greet you with a smile and were polite and friendly. Sadly, this has been replaced by a grunt and indifference by staff when placing our order. I ordered fish and chips and a donner kebab. The chips were placed in the cardboard box at least 5 minutes before the fish was ready. This meant that the chips were almost cold while the fish was piping hot. The quality of the chips was awful; if I was given a taste test I'd have said they were yesterday's chips. The donner meat was cold and tasted old. The higher than average price and poor quality of the food was deeply disappointing and the nostalgia of visiting my regular chippy went in the bin with most of the food that I'd ordered.
The donner meat and chips was huge. The only unfortunate thing here is the service. The ignore you like your not even there. Took 10 mins to get served. Food is average not fantastic.
Health and safety is an issue as well as mannerism. The waiting time is horrendous, an the seating area to wait for the food is absolutely filthy! Save your money everyone
Here are the best fish chips you can fine around .we' re really close and are often for take-away ,the staff are fine and good place,
I go to status a lot their fish and chips are of a decent portion and very taste. Their donner is one of the best in the area- I appreciate prices have risen in the last few years and they charge extra for salad and sauces to be put on but overall the food quality is good
