The Pheasant - Braintree

This was my first time visiting this charming village pub. The young lady who took care of us was delightful and very welcoming. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and will definitely be back. Thank you.

Do not visit this restaurant if you care about animals, nature, or wildlife. My sister and I came here on January 20th and witnessed a group of people carrying a ****** fox inside. When I asked the staff about this, they simply shrugged and showed no concern. Avoid this place if you love animals.

Arrived late after my original hotel booking at another place was overbooked and was welcomed by friendly Landlady Diana also known as dd…Amazing bedroom with wonderful view and welcome from all the staff and regulars drinking.. Really surprised with the warm welcome with a rural backdrop .. ideal for a solo worker working in the area and great for families visiting. The food was top notch and reasonably priced Would highly recommend

Food was microwaved we could see in the kitchen), staff were missing most of the time, dated decor, poor range of drinks. if it wasnt for the lovely views i dont think even the rats would come to this place. truely terrible, stay away. funny smell too

Food was very poor, service was even worse, atmosphere was as good as a funeral and the smell was the same too
