The bread that was once great is now terrible. How do they sell stale bread that is overpriced? I understand this isn’t supermarket chemical bread but this is the Hudson Valley and there are many bakers that put out great fresh bread using simple ingredients and it’s not stale. The other customers- there’s a term in these parts it’s “citidiot”. That’s 99% of the customers here. The coffee is terrible burnt tasting nastiness. Not a dark roasted blend on the strong side. It’s just bad. Do yourself a favor and avoid this tourist trap.
Very very nice. Simple delicious breakfast options. Very good coffee.
Cool place, great breads, and bigger than expected menu options. Coffee on point.
This location has opened since the last time I was in the area. Funny- I drove by on the way to get a breakfast sandwich down the road and was curious what was in the building as it was busy at 8am. Assumed some office building. Got a breakfast sandwich at Olive's by dollar general and was disappointed as the bread was very dry and basically ruined the sandwich. Seeking a reprieve, I searched for local bakeries and found Bread Alone that I apparently drove by. Bread Alone's Boiceville location is completely carbon neutral and suppedly the largest carbon neutral commercial bakery in the US. Anyway, it's a unique venue. I was only getting a cinnamon roll but ended with 3 items- the breakfast bun, a pecan sticky bun and the flour less chocolate torte. The breakfast roll wasn't a typical cinnamon roll unfortunately, but it tasted great due to probably containing a stick of butter. The torte $7) was too appealing not to try. For a few extra dollars, I could have had a breakfast sandwich on fresh bread. I'm unsure the quality of their food beyond the bread, but will find out. If they're that carbon neutral, I'm surprised there aren't chickens running around so they can retrieve eggs on demand and foot.
Always delicious, fresh and flavorful bread and baked goods!
