It really is just a step above a dive bar with no table service, just bartenders. A coworker and I ate here because we stayed at the hotel. It was convenient and we got coupons with our room keys for 1 free beer each. We each got a salad along with a margarita flatbread. The flatbreads were huge, like a pizza so we really could have split it. They were actually pretty good, much better than I was expecting! Because the rooms have fridges, we were able to each save half to eat them later as a snack. The food was decent, but not great. The whole place could use a good cleaning. The benches were worn, the tables were rickety and need to have the legs tightened up and everything just felt slightly sticky. The big advantage of this place is if you're staying in the hotel you can pop on down for dinner and a drink. However, if I wasn't staying at the hotel, I would not recommend coming here.
I have eaten here the past 2 nights, since i am staying here, and dont feel like going anywhere. The service was good, and the food was good, but they keep it so unbelievably cold, it is terrible eating here. Both nights I got the food to go.
Very quiet when we went decided to get a late night dinner while we stayed in the hotel. The bartender Ian was very nice he was the only person working. The kitchen closed at 10 which is standard for a bar. We played pool all night and drank beer since it was thunder storming and couldn't go out anywhere. We met some interesting people in the outside seating area from out of state who made the night pleasant. The drinks are a little pricy but the beer is fair. They have a lot of different flavor Sam Adams which was pretty cool. The only inconvenience is that it doesn't open until 4 pm so if your checking in before that you have to go somewhere else to eat instead of staying in the comfort of the hotel. The hotel didn't have any type of amenities so this was the best thing they had to keep us occupied.
This is the Sam Adams Bar inside the Holiday Inn. We had a nice evening here and drank and partied until quite late as part of a convention staying at the Holiday Inn. Security was adequate and there is an outdoor smoking area that is shielded from the wind and rain. Loud dance able music and the beers and cocktails flowed freely. No complaints from me.
A-OK sums our experience up pretty well. We walked in around 5:30pm on a Friday surprised to find every single table completely open. We picked a nice corner booth and was greeted by the bar tender. They do have a nice list of craft beers as well as whats on tap, but be prepared to pay for them. It's weird that this restaurant is in a hotel, the food comes from what looks like room service delivered to the restaurant. But anyway, the food was had was good (lobster mac cheese)...although it was $19.50 for each platter. Luckily we had a restaurant.com gift card that took care of $25 off our bill. We don't have anything bad to say about our experience, I just wish it was in a set-alone location with more reasonable prices.
