Fish Restaurant in downtown offering fried fish with typical sides. Clear focus is on fish and thus the fish is really tasty. Many different kinds available on the menu from salman over codfish to sole and others. As sides they offer different kind of potatoes (top potato salad) and vegetables. If you have family members not liking fish there is also chicken or pork schnitzel alternative available. Not so nice: vegetarians can select basically only sides. Very good value for money.

The oldest fish restaurant in Bremen convinces with an extensive menu with affordable prices. There are good fish, homemade potato salad, homemade remoulade and a fresh crunchy salad. The decor is simple but comfortable. The food is good and that 's the way it should be. The service is very friendly and helpful (if you do not know which fish to eat). She did not recommend the most expensive dish on demand I thought that was great! To mention is also the house itself, in which the restaurant is located: a so called Bürgerhaus from the year 1620th It is not far from the city and very easy to reach. Enjoy the meal!

Sauna-like very hot Restaurant during hot weathers with a strange waiter who thinks he is very clever and funny... He was rushing us and other customers to take the orders on time ! . If you do not order on time, he was keeping us you wait.. We wanted to order our second beers and he did not bring and we were forced to go and collect our beers. And he only brought our meals and never returned again. We had to pay the bill at the entrance without tip for sure.... No air conditioning...

I was really disappointed about the quality of fish in Knurrhahn, which is suppose to be a good fish restaurant.I had poached salmon and it was hard to believe that it was fresh rather than frozen. If you are a more a fresh and grilled fish person, then this restaurant is not for you.

We always visit this fish restaurant when we are in Bremen, sometimes for lunch or early evening dinner as it closes quite early. There is a great choice for fish lovers and always a specials board. We are almost always served by the same waitress who is very helpful and good at advising you if you're not sure about anything. The wine is good and their fresh salad bowl just delicious. This restaurant is very reasonably priced for the high quality food on offer and such a favourite of ours.
