Mcgavin's Bakery - Bremerton

I could pitch a tent and live in this place! (Well, if they'd let me... When I was a child, my mother used to bring me to this bakery, whenever we were in Bremerton, to let me pick one special treat. I fondly remember the man that would so kindly help me with a cookie or chocolate. It was always so difficult for me to choose just one thing! No matter what I settled on it was always yummy, with a handmade touch. I hadn't even realized that they were still there, until my 84 year old mother asked for a pink champagne cake, from McGavin's, for her birthday this year. I had never heard of such a cake, but she remembered her mother would get them from there when she was a child. After researching champagne cakes online, and coming to find out that McGavin's truly IS famous for theirs (and after picking myself up off the floor at the shock of what other places charge for them... I placed an order over the phone with a very kind and helpful young lady. I only gave them a couple of days notice, yet I picked up a beautifully decorated, with a personalized message, pink champagne cake that was the BEST cake I have EVER tasted (and my mother was completely delighted with, as well... in the smallest, 7' size, for only $30 (half the price that others charge... . I could not more highly recommend this bakery for any baked, or sweet, desire you may have: cookies, chocolates, cakes, rolls, cake pops, and on, and on...they seem to have it all. And, with a kind smile, I might add!

I placed a special order for baby shower cookies and cupcake. I provided pictures to the bakery of what I was wanting and they were EXACTLY like the pictures I provided!! They were beautiful and tasted great. The cupcakes were very light and airy, (not dry at all), and the cookies were soft and not too sweet but the icing made them just perfect. Everyone at the baby shower asked where I got them! Thanks McGavins, Alex, and the (girl decorator who helped me when I picked up) for making sure they were just right!! I called on a Friday and ordered cinnamon rolls for my daughters birthday to be delivered on Saturday, I talked with Debbie (the baker) went out of her way to make this happen on a short notice. Debbie also delivered them to my Daughter and followed up with a phone call to me saying they were delivered at the time we discussed. My Daughter said the rolls were AMAZING ! I'm really looking forward to visiting this shop in person the next time we are in Bremerton. Thanks for the great service !

Been looking for holiday cookies everywhere. These are the BEST holiday cookies I have ever had. Tastes like Grandmas when I was little. Worth every penny!

PINK CHAMPAGN CAKE I have ordered this cake for my wife's birthday for over 25 years and it's the best ever! It keeps for weeks and months in the freezer and every bite tastes as fresh as the first! Thank you for staying open...
