Bluegrass Bbq At Eatons Hill - BRENDALE

Found this BBQ place after the reviews showed some promise. The service and atmosphere were pretty good. I wish I could say the same about the bbq pork ribs. I never knew ribs could be this dry and lacking flavour. I’m pretty sure the ribs were slow baked in the oven, reheated in the microwave and slapped with some sauce, not even hitting the grill for a reheat. This is the first bbq place where I can say the sides tasted better than the mains. I can’t comment on the rest of the menu, but if one dish is served this way, all the ribs will be this way. Stick to the sides, wings or burgers if you visit here, or just hope for a better day in the kitchen.

Visited again tonight 9 March 2024. Firstly a shout out to Mark, one of the servers. An absolute gem, very knowledgeable and very friendly. We were made to feel very welcome despite it being super busy and added to that it was a fantastic atmosphere. Secondly the signature steak i ordered was cooked beautifully and you could taste the smokeyness. The accompanying slaw ... slight honey taste, not overpowering ..... so good and a perfect match. Overall very impressed and highly recommended. ‐ ‐ ' This was our first time to Bluegrass BBQ celebrating my son 's 18th and will definitely be going back. Was difficult to know what to order so we ended up going for the Ponderosa Platter which served a little of everything. I was expecting to take home a container with the food we didn 't eat but there was nothing left by the time we finished. Meat very juicy and just fell off the bone, salads complimented the food, price was very reasonable and great character and atmosphere about the place. In addition to the mouthwatering food, the staff that served our food were absolutely lovely and very attentive a definite bonus to the restaurant.

Awesome food and great service. We arrived without booking but they made adjustments to give us a table. All the staff were super friendly and the food arrived just a few minutes after ordering.
