Within five minutes of us being seated ,they seated another customer directly across from me ; there was only a partial partition and throughout his meal, I was able to hear all three of his telephone conversations And I almost answered his phone for him because he was taking so long to answer it. We could have shared each others food! Extremely frustrating.! The table to our left, and behind us they seated 2 elderly customers who couldn't hear worth a darn and were virtually shouting at each other throughout our meal ; although our food looked very appetizing, I was too overcome by constant chatter around me, and I could not eat my meal. The music was absolutely awful and extremely loud. They would go from Johnny Cash to Samba to Frank Sinatra. Just turn it off. Let us eat in peace !We simply got to go boxes And left ; they could've easily have split those people up into different tables or something like that. Definitely ask for a window seat; at least that way you're not sitting 12 inches away from somebody.. see the photo..
It's an Applebees so should be fairly predictable but we were kinda hesitant when we saw it's 2 star rating. Everything was super good though! Not the cheapest but we did the 2 for $35 deal... 2 small entrées and an appetizer. Excellent half rack of BBQ ribs with amazing sauce (request extra for the fries) and the Cajun salmon was cooked perfectly! The spinach artichoke dip is probably the best I've ever had with perfect tortilla chips! The atmosphere was nice most of the time (lots of TVs and soft classic rock playing) although a girl at the bar had obviously overindulged... at the bar! The manager and our waiter Jonathan both apologized for her disturbance (not that her stupidity was their fault) but it wasn't a big deal. Not a fancy 5 star restaurant but I probably wouldn't be eating there if it was! Overall we had a great, relaxing meal with fast and super friendly service and it definitely deserves more than 2 stars!
I sat at the bar for dinner because I was alone and like to watch the Astros Play. The bartender did his job and his attitude was just that. I asked for a bag to put my left over food container in and he refused to give me one. I believe it was because he would have to walk 20 feet to get one. The manager spent an enormous amount of time tending to a family that were obviously friends of his. The attitude they 're sucked and it was depressing. Go to Chili 's down the street. The vibes their are upbeat and they make you feel welcome.
Four cheese Mac and cheese was four times worse than I expected. The chicken was decent, but the Mac and cheese was liquidy and tasted like my elementary school cafeteria.
Emily is a rock star! We went there last night for dinner. When we walked in Emily told us she was the only server and we saw one bartender. Emily assured us she was OK and set us at a table. We ordered burgers an appetizer, and a couple of cocktails. Service was amazing considering circumstances, drinks were good, and food turned out great. Such amazing staff to keep a restaurant going and still providing perfect customer service. I will go back just because of Emily!
